Umbrella

Posted by Carol on July 24th, 2004 — Posted in Projects for Kids, Projects for Parents, All Projects

Dear Stichery Mall users
Here we have done an umbrella with our job collection
http://www.esdesign.de/images/misc/job01.gif

You have to cut the fabric from the umbrella. Then put a ribbon around the umbrella bones, so you can hold it in your hand during embroidery.
Now hoop the umbrella fabric in your machine. Use an underlayer down and solvy on top also.
Then embroider in slow motion!
Don’t go away from the machine.
There will be no water coming down through the embroidery, I promise.
If your finished umbrella is wet from rain, leave it open to dry. After you have done all 8 segments, sew the fabric by hand to the scelett from the umbrella.
Wish you happy stitching

Aunty M’s Noah’s Ark Applique

Posted by Carol on April 22nd, 2004 — Posted in Projects for Kids, Religious Projects, All Projects

The applique pocket for Aunty M’s Noah’s Ark applique design creates a pocket to store animal finger puppets. The design begins with the rainbow and applique cloud. The cloud applique is a standard applique design using three colors: one to stitch a placement line, the second to secure the applique fabric to the base fabric, and the third to cover the raw edge of the fabric. For the cloud, you would need to trim the applique fabric after it has been secured to the base fabric. This graphic shows the design with both applique sections completed.
